Children and caregivers are introduced to a wide variety of kindergarten readiness skills through stories, rhymes, music, and motor activities; in a fun and educational environment.  Programs will end with a brief S.T.R.E.A.M. activity (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math) or with skill development stations.

S.T.R.E.A.M.: “Let’s Eat” featuring Recipes & Reads

S.T.R.E.A.M. is an interactive multi-literacy program that integrates Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math concepts aimed at developing innovation, imagination, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. School age children are introduced to the building blocks of one or more S.T.R.E.A.M learning concepts through exploratory hands-on activities in a fun and educational environment. Join us for an afternoon snack that will give you the chance to shop for your own ingredients with library bucks you earn through fun games and activities.  K-5th grade.   

This project was funded under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Florida’s LSTA program is administered by the Department of State’s Division of Library and  Information Services.
