S.T.R.E.A.M. is an interactive multi-literacy program that integrates Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math concepts aimed at developing innovation, imagination, critical thinking, and problem solving.  School age children are introduced to the building blocks of one or more S.T.R.E.A.M. learning concepts through exploratory hands-on activities in a fun and educational environment.  Kids will learn to draw simple pictures, step by step with an Ormond Beach Regional Library staff member.

Social Worker in the Library (Ormond Beach)

The social worker in the library program provides information on utility and rental payments, SNAP, career source referrals, and other resources within the County. 

 Scheduled appointments are available on Wednesday mornings at the Ormond Beach Regional Library from 10am-1pm. Afternoon walk-in assistance is available from 2pm-5:30pm. 

 Appointments can also be scheduled for the New Smyrna Beach Regional Library on first and third Tuesdays of the month, and the Port Orange Regional Library on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. Appointments can be made at the Daytona Beach Regional Library on Mondays and Thursdays. Appointments can be made at the Daytona Beach Regional Library on the 1st and 3rd Friday and the Deltona Regional Library on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month.

Chair Yoga

Move your body and relax your mind with this gentle yoga practice designed for adults of all ages and fitness levels. 

Class begins with breathing exercise for relaxation and body awareness. Gentle joint release progression to  range of motion. Seated sun salutation and standing for balance leg stretch and muscle strength. Class ends with seated meditative Kirtan Kriya chant.

Registration is not required, but recommended.

Caregivers and children will paint together with each participant receiving supplies to make their own masterpiece. Today's project is a wooden doorknob sign! This program is open to ages 6 and up. Reservations are required.

Protect Yourself Against Crime

Officer Danielle Henderson and Officer Andy Rossi of the Ormond Beach Police Department will present a Community Safety Program on April 25, 2024 at 2 p.m. in the Ormond Beach Library Auditorium. This event will focus on personal safety, home security and fraud prevention.
 
Learn about current crime trends within our community and how to protect yourself and loved ones from becoming victims. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss concerns about safety and crime in our neighborhood. The Ormond Beach Pollice Department believes the most important tool they offer is education and that knowledge is power.
 
This free program is sponsored by the Friends of the Ormond Beach Library and is open to the public. Together we can build a safer Ormond Beach!

Sewing: Shirt Apron
