Quick Crafts is a physical literacy program designed to develop fine motor and critical thinking skills. Children will tap into their creativity by constructing crafts from a variety of materials provided in the children’s section. Supplies may be limited.

Join us this spring for an all ages Reading Challenge on Beanstack! Starting April 7th, register either in the library or on the Beanstack app and begin logging your reading. The more you read the more entries into the raffle for our grand prize. This challenge will end May 12th so register soon!

IMAGINE & EXPLORE: Escape Challenge is an interactive learning program designed to maximize exploration and guided play as a means of developing critical thinking skills, social skills, math and reading literacies, and problem-solving skills. All ages are welcome. No registration is required. 

IMAGINE & EXPLORE: Picture Hunts – IMAGINE & EXPLORE: Picture Hunts is an interactive learning program designed to maximize exploration and play as a means of developing critical thinking skills, social skills, math and reading literacies, and problem-solving skills.  Children will explore the library and find various pictures with numbers on them to complete the hunt. Find all the pictures and see staff for a special surprise. Picture hunts change weekly.

Quick Crafts to Go: All day, Mondays-Saturdays. Quick Crafts to Go is a physical literacy program designed to develop fine motor and critical thinking skills. Children and teens will tap into their creativity by taking home pre-packaged, fun crafting and activity kits to assemble. While supplies last.

Read It & Rate It – Read It & Rate It is an interactive literacy program designed for children up to age 12.  Children practice basic reading, listening, and conversation skills by selecting a book, reading it, and sharing their book review (and rating) with library staff.  A variety of different books are provided in the children’s area on a weekly basis. Children will receive a surprise after sharing their review. 

Gametastic is an interactive gaming program designed to maximize play as a means of developing critical thinking skills, social skills, or strategy skills.  Children are introduced to various tabletop games through exploratory hands-on activities in a fun and educational environment. 

Homeschool Huddle: Chefs and Bakers featuring Recipes and Reads: 11 a.m., Friday, April 19. Homeschool Huddle is an interdisciplinary literacy program designed to encourage social and collaborative learning in an educational environment. Homeschool learners are introduced to varied educational topics and concepts in a group setting and will learn about library resources for research. 

Gametastic: LEGOS 3:30 p.m., Fridays. Gametastic: LEGOS is an interactive gaming program designed to maximize play as a means of developing critical thinking skills, social skills, or strategy skills.  Children are introduced to board, dice, and/or card games through exploratory hands-on activities in a fun and educational environment. 

S.T.R.E.A.M. is an interactive multi-literacy program that integrates Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math concepts aimed at developing innovation, imagination, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. School age children are introduced to the building blocks of one or more S.T.R.E.A.M. learning concepts through exploratory hands-on activities in a fun and educational environment. Kids can let their imagination soar with hands-on building challenges with LEGO® blocks.

Children's Book Club: 4 p.m., Friday, April 19. Children's Book Club is an interactive literacy program designed to develop reading, comprehension, and social skills through guided conversations or activities about a featured book or genre. School age children will listen to Hello Hello by Brendan Wenzel and will have fun with related crafts and activities.
