Among her best-known novels are 'The Bluest Eye\,' 'Song of Solomon\,'\n'Beloved' and 'A Mercy.'Dr. Campbell is currently an Associate Dean in the College of Arts &\;\nSciences at Stetson University. \; Prior to\nbecoming an associate dean\, she served as the founding director of a bachelor’s\ndegree completion program in Organizational Leadership and as Director of the\nAfricana Studies Program. Dr. Campbell established a branch of the American\nAssociation of University Women’s (AAUW) and is its inaugural President and is\nalso the founding Director of the American Association of University Women’s\n(AAUW) Central Florida STEM camp for middle school girls.
