Read It & Rate It – Read It & Rate It is an interactive literacy program designed for children up to age 12.  Children practice basic reading, listening, and conversation skills by selecting a book, reading it, and sharing their book review (and rating) with library staff.  A variety of different books are provided in the children’s area on a weekly basis. Children will receive a surprise after sharing their review. 

Family Tales: Rain 10:30 a.m., Tuesdays. Family Tales is an interactive literacy program designed for children of all ages. Families are introduced to a wide variety of literacy and social skills through stories, rhymes, music, and other activities, in a fun and educational environment. 

Quick Crafts: Goofy Robots: A Make-and-Play Robot Craft: 4 p.m., Tuesdays. Quick Crafts is a physical literacy program designed to develop fine motor and critical thinking skills.  School-age children will tap into their creativity by constructing crafts from a variety of materials provided in the children’s section. Supplies may be limited. Grades K-5. Pre-registration is required.

S.T.R.E.A.M. is an interactive multi-literacy program that integrates Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math concepts aimed at developing innovation, imagination, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. School age children are introduced to the building blocks of one or more S.T.R.E.A.M learning concepts through exploratory hands-on activities in a fun and educational environment.  Grades K-5.
