Decorate a pumpkin or gourd - real or artificial - any way you like: glue, paint, decoupage, or all of the above! Bring your pumpkin to the library by Wednesday, October 23. Judging will take place from October 24 - October 30 by the Edgewater Library community. Winners will be announced on October 31.
Age categories: Children ages 3-7, ages 8-12, Teens ages 13-17, and Adults 18 and up. Winners in each category will win a prize!

Mother Goose on the Loose is an interactive storytime designed for children ages 0-18 months. Children and caregivers experience nursery rhymes, stories, fingerplays, and music in a fun and engaging environment. Older brothers and sisters are welcome.

program and the storytime that follows it! A music-filled fun fitness
program designed to help build coordination, motor skills, rhythm and
flexibility. Geared for children 3 to 5 years old and their
caregivers. It lasts only about 20-25 minutes, and we hope participants
will stay for our Ready-to-Learn Pre-K Storytime at 10:30. Groups and
day cares are asked to call libraries in advance to pre-register for
A special storytime for babies that are just beginning to
walk (up until 24 months) & their caregivers. Books, rhymes, music,
toys, movement, sensory activities, rhythms, and other age-appropriate
Little Readers Storytime: Get Ready for Kindergarten consists of books, songs, rhymes and flannel board stories for toddlers and preschoolers. Activities to help build Kindergarten readiness skills will follow storytime. Ages 18 months - 5 years old.
A storytime especially for children 3 to 5 years old and their
caregivers. Stories, flannel stories, puppets, songs, rhymes,
interactive & sensory activities, music-making, early literacy
activities and much more! The program usually lasts 30-40 minutes. All
of our storytimes this month will have something to do with health in
honor of our "Health Happens in Libraries" month.
Today our stories will be about the 5 senses: seeing, hearing, smelling, touching and tasting.
School-age children and their families are invited to drop by
the library and try their hand at a different make-n-take craft each
week. Crafting is a fun way children can fine tune motor skills and
express creativity. Thematic stories may be shared and related library
materials will be available for checkout. Registration is not required.
Family Fun 3:30 PM, Every Tuesday & Thursday. Color, build LEGOs, and play some games with your family. Each week there will be an assortment of board games, coloring sheets, and LEGO challenges. Come have fun! All ages are welcome.
Family Fun: Seurat Inspired Dot Painting 4:00 PM Thursday, October 17th. Children will use Q-Tips and paint to create beautiful master pieces inspired by the painter Georges Seurat. All ages are welcome.
Come one, come all! Come and join us for Family Game Night every Thursday evening. There will be board games, playing cards, dominoes, and plenty more! Join us on select nights to participate in our tournaments for games like Checkers or Pictionary. All ages are welcome.
Have some festival fall fun by decorating a pumpkin! Decorating supplies and pumpkins will be provided. Or, you may bring your own decorating supplies and pumpkins and use our space! Registration is recommended as space is limited! Register in person, by phone, or online! Don't forget to enter our pumpkin contest!
Join library staff for our evening storytime as we learn about healthy eating through non-fiction books, rhymes, music, and activities. After storytime, we will enjoy a healthy snack provided by staff. Ages 0 to 5
